For a start, let’s talk about what is Internet Marketing, for the benefit of newbies.

With more and more people turning to the world of internet for opportunities in view of the slowing world economy,  they will hear about this buzzword “Internet Marketing”.

WHAT IS INTERNET MARKETING?

Internet marketing is the process of marketing products or services through the internet.

Example:

Jenny has a confectionery that sells novel cupcakes as birthday cakes.  Besides advertising in local newspapers and magazines on her confectionery, she also turns to the internet, going to websites and forums, blogs, to advertise by way of putting banners into such sites, or even participate in forum discussions.

As you can see, the marketing activities such as banners, participate in forum discussions, having a signature in your forum profile/post, email, having people review your products and services are all part of Internet Marketing.

In short, people use Internet Marketing so that they can reach out to more people.  Because all these are used to drive more people to the website, in hope of getting more sales.
