1. BMD is now only 1 single executable file. No more DLLs.
This is what I call portable. How tough can it be to run the software when there is only 1 single file to double-click?
2. PING is finally available.
The long awaited PING is finally here. My next post I shall talk about how the PING works in the latest BMD update.
3. Save data are now saved in the same folder as the main executable. Data folder is no longer needed. Users of 4.0.0.3 need to move save data into the BIN folder.
This might create some confusion over here. Cos the not-so-techie will have more problem moving the files around. Basically, just make sure your folder consist of the following files and you should be fine:
- Edwinsoft.BookmarkingDemon.exe
- Edwinsoft.BookmarkingDemon.exe.config
- default.accounts.bmd
- default.bookmarks.bmd
The rest of those .DLL files, you can just trash them away. Into recycle bin.

BUG FIXES
1. Under certain circumstances, { | } will crash BMD.
CHANGES
1. BMD now can be minimized to systray.
This should make the taskbar less cluttered.
2. Added username generator that will randomly generate up to 5 usernames for expert mode.
For those who have hard time thinking of username, this should be a quick start.
3. Added password generator for expert mode.
Make sure you export the passwords to a safe place. Accidents do happen. ;o)
4. Randomizer is updated to be even more random.
5. Added “Export” for bookmarking logs (accessible by clicking on the Demon icon, Export menu).
A useful feature to those who want to generate reports based on the exported bookmarking logs.
6. Added “Load From TEXT | CSV (BMD3 Format)” for loading of “Accounts” and “My Web Sites”.
7. Added “Save As TEXT | CSV (BMD3 Format)” for saving of “Accounts” and “My Web Sites”.
8. Removed redundant messages like “0 RSS feeds added…”.
9. Added error messages to inform user in the event when profiles are not loaded successfully when they start to bookmark (simply retry by closing and re-opening the “Start Bookmarking” form).
A better user friendly experience?
10. “Start Bookmarking” form is now resizable.
